Project Overview

Our Equipment Construction and Design team collaborated with Bucci Construction to provide and install 21 doors for a new warehouse building in Calgary. This commercial warehouse features 16 loading docks and 5 drive-in door positions.

Our professional Equipment Installation technicians installed:

• (16) 6′ x 8′ Blue Giant Hydraulic Levelers (H6008) with pour-in-pan.
• (16) Steel-Face Dock Bumpers.
• (16) Blue Giant Adjustable Head Curtain Dock Seals (BG200V-40) to suit 8’6″ x 9’6″ openings.
• (16) 8’6″ x 9’6″ Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors (C175) with bumper leaf springs and manual operation for the loading dock positions.
• (5) 12’0″ x 14’0″ Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors (C175) with bumper leaf springs and manual operation for the drive-in door positions.

Blue Giant Hydraulic Dock Levelers

Each loading dock position was equipped with a hydraulic dock leveler for easy push-button operation during trailer loading and unloading. These hydraulic dock levelers have fewer moving parts than mechanical dock levelers, requiring less maintenance and reducing the likelihood of breakdowns.

Adjustable Head Curtain Dock Seal & Steel-Face Dock Bumpers

Furthermore, we installed adjustable curtain dock seals around the loading dock positions to create tight seals around trailers. This contributes to energy savings and prevents contaminants from entering during loading and unloading. Lastly, to protect the loading docks from trailer impacts, each position was equipped with steel-face dock bumpers.

Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors

The C175 sectional overhead doors are suitable for dock or drive-in doors up to 36’x22′. They feature hot dip galvanized stucco embossed and ribbed enforce steel sheet, R-value of R-16, continuous polyurethane production line with rigid foam technology and 1-3/4″ thick panels.
