Project Overview

We worked TriAxis Construction to supply and install a total of 221 overhead doors for the newly constructed LEED certified industrial buildings at iPort Caledon Business Park:

• (215) 9’x10′ full vertical lift C175 overhead dock doors with LiftMaster Model DD08900W operators.
• (6) 12’x14′ full vertical lift C175 overhead drive-in doors with OSH 3/4 HP and chain hoist.
• (221) sets of 48″ high track guards for each door.

Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors for Docks or Drive-In

The C175 sectional overhead doors are both suited for dock or drive-in doors up to 36’x22′. They feature:

• Hot dip galvanized stucco embossed and ribbed enforce steel sheet
• Two coats, baked-on paint system, primer and polyester white finish coat.
• An R-value of R-16.
• A continuous polyurethane production line utilizing the latest in rigid foam technology.
• 1-3/4″ thick panels.
• A 24″x12″ vision window is included in the 3rd panel to let in natural light and create a brighter space.
• 3″ track and hardware with full vertical lift track.
• 48″ high track guards to protect the door tracks from accidental impacts.
• 1″ solid shaft with 10,000 cycle-rated springs.
• Continuous angle mount to steel.
• Full perimeter weather seals to seal out pests, drafts and white light while sealing in energy savings.

Blue Giant Hydraulic Docks

215 of the positions were outfitted with Blue Giant hydraulic docks with Blue Genius Gold Series I control panels for easy push-button operation. These loading docks have a rust-resistant powder coat along with strategically and robot-welded enhanced beams, providing structural sturdiness for a long-lasting dock.

In addition, the docks only have 6″ of space between the beams in the center. Meaning that they can be used for either 3 or 4-wheel forklifts. As a result, the tenant can choose their forklift preference rather being told which one they can use.
