THE OPPORTUNITY
Working in the food industry, Donmar Foods quickly realized the advantages to improve working conditions and reduce energy costs. Working in the food industry, the Air Barriers also provided an added layer of protection against insects and pests that could halt production by interfering with quality control and safety.
THE SOLUTION
Northern Dock Systems installed 2 Air Barriers over the warehouse dock doors to create a seal between the exterior and interior without obstructing movement into the trailers. With a 90% seal across the doorway, Donmar is now able to control the temperature and prevent infiltration from entering the dock doors while open.
By reducing their annual energy consumption, Donmar Foods was awarded an energy rebate from the Enbridge Gas Distribution for now saving 11,106.67m3 of natural gas in the next year.
