THE OPPORTUNITY
With a dock door and large overhead door that were constantly used throughout the day – a solution was needed to prevent lost heat in the winter.
THE SOLUTION
Northern Dock Systems installed 2 Air Barriers to help seal against outside weather, insects and heating/cooling loss while the doors were open.
When offloading material from large dump trucks, the 10ftx12ft overhead door is able to keep a 90% seal throughout the off-loading process – without losing valuable heating during winter months.
Now with the ability to keep these heavily used doors sealed, Armstrong manufacturing is set to reduce their annual natural gas consumption by 12,493.33 meters cubed.
