The Solution and Results
Northern Dock Systems installed three Durashield models of Enershield Air Barriers over their dock doors to:- Seal off up to 90% of cold outdoor air and contaminants from entering the facility.
- Increase the life expectancy of their HVAC equipment by reducing the number of cycles required to efficiently heat their indoor space.
- Provide better indoor temperature control, enhancing indoor comfort for Bohne Spring’s loading dock workers and improving their productivity.
With the three air barriers efficiently creating an environmental separation even while their loading dock doors remain open, Bohne Spring is now able to save an estimated $6,600 annually by reducing their energy consumption.
