Project Overview
Our Equipment Construction and Design team was in charge of supplying and installing doors for Brampton’s new Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters and Training Centre.
For this project, we supplied and installed:
- (2) Door Engineering FF300 Four-Fold Doors
- (8) SDI C175 Sectional Overhead Doors with Springless SafeDrive Operators
- (1) SDI C175 Sectional Overhead Doors with OSH Operator
Four-Fold Doors Open in 7 Seconds
We installed two Door Engineering FF300 Four-Fold Doors as high-speed exit doors. These bi-fold doors have opening speeds up to 24″ per second. For these 14’x14’ doors, it takes less than 7 seconds for them to open. Making it perfect for Brampton’s new Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters when every second matters.
Additionally, the horizontal movement gives the drivers full visibility. As a result, the doors are less likely to accidentally be hit.
Maintenance-Free Springless Overhead Door
The sectional overhead doors with full view sections provide a clean aesthetic and allow natural light in while being budget-friendly. Combined with the springless SafeDrive operators, the doors have opening speeds up to 24″ per second, which is three times faster than traditional jackshaft operators. Furthermore, the springless design means that it is maintenance-free, self-monitoring and operates silently.
