Project Overview

The Beer Store in Bracebridge’s existing lift table was old while the pump and hydraulics would fail on a regular basis. As a result, the lift table was unreliable for receiving products. This was an issue because this store only had one receiving door and was not able to deal with the downtime from the unreliable lift.

They reached out to Northern Dock Systems to supply and install a new Blue Giant dock table lift. We worked with the customer to find a day to remove the old dock lift and install the new one with little disruptions to their business operations. Our Equipment Installation and Electrical Services team worked together to get this new lift table installed within a single day so they could get back to normal operations by the evening.

In addition, many safety features were included in this new dock lift table:

• Anti-slip and rust-resistant powder coat for durability against the elements and to reduce the likely hood of slipping during wet conditions.
• Electric toe guards with a magnetic switch to prevent severe accidents from happening.
• Accordion safety skirt to protect workers’ hands and feet from moving parts.
• Spring-assisted lip to reduce the manual force to raise and lower the lip to save their workers’ backs.
• Safety light and alarm on operator for when the lift table is in use.
• Easy to operate with deck-mount push button controls.
• Personnel restraint chains to keep them compliant with safety regulations.
