Information

Issue #1: Water Rolling Off Trailers
Water can roll off the top of trailers and onto the loading dock area. As a result, it can puddle and lead to wet, slippery and icy floors in your loading dock.

Issue #2: Safety Hazard to People
The wet, slippery and icy floors are dangerous to personnel as it can lead to potential slips and falls. Consequently leading to health and safety issues.

Issue #3: Damages Goods
Your product and goods can get damaged from water dripping off the top of trailers onto goods underneath. As a result, it decreases the productivity at your facility and increase unnecessary waste.

Issue #4: White Light in Audits
The gaps between the top of trailers and your dock seal or shelter are areas where contaminants such as dust, dirt, debris, insects and birds can get in. Therefore, health and safety officials look for white light as areas of weakness in their audits.
Solution: Rain Shroud Dock Canopy
The Blue Giant Rain Shroud can be retrofitted to your existing dock seal or shelter to keep rain water out of the loading dock area. A foam wiper blade design creates a tight seal against the top of the trailer to keep rain water out of the loading dock area.
This economical design is virtually maintenance-free with no mechanical parts to wear out. Standard units seal trailers from 13′ to 13.5′ high on a typical 4′ dock height.
Multiple Trailer Heights? Upgrade to the Rain Shroud Max
An upgraded version, the Rain Shroud Max has a self-adjusting weighted foam pad to create a tight seal against rainwater for up to a 12-inch variance in trailer heights. It is an effective coverage, which allows for customization based on specific dock requirements.
Rain Shroud Max conforms to deformities on a trailer’s surface, preventing leakage. A reinforced top steel bar creates a tight seal and boosts curtain strength.
