Project Overview

We reached out to Novvia Group in Mississauga to introduce them to the incentive program for businesses to upgrade dock door seals through their local utility company. The manager showed interest in our solutions for improving dock efficiency.

In addition to qualifying their deteriorating dock seals for the program, we discovered other issues with their loading dock outside of the program. We identified gaps and white light under dock doors and along the sides of dock levelers, which were causing inefficiencies and cold drafts. This could easily be resolved with door and dock weather seal to create a complete seal.

Return on Investment

Through the program, we were able to get Novvia Group a one-time rebate that covered 85% of the costs for the new Blue Giant Adjustable Curtain Dock Seals (BG200). As a result, they can expect a return on investment (ROI) for these improvements in an estimated 0.73 years.

Installation and Removal

Improve the energy efficiency at this Mississauga warehouse, our Equipment Installation team:

• Removing and disposing of eight existing door seals.
• Supplying and installing eight new Blue Giant Adjustable Head Curtain Dock Seals (BG200).
• Installing bottom rubber weather seals and retainers on four overhead doors.
• Installing dock brush weather seals on four dock levelers.

Future Plans

Novvia Group appreciated our efforts in making their loading dock more energy efficient. They are now looking to establish regular preventive maintenance with us to ensure their facility remains in optimal condition.
