Project Overview
Our team recently completed a successful project involving the supply and installation of three Blue Giant Electric Hook Trailer Restraints (HVR303) at positions 1, 2 and 3 at this pharmaceutical facility in Mississauga. The existing vehicle restraints were worn, rusted and needed replacement.
Removal and Disposal of Rusted Vehicle Restraints
Upon arrival, our team signed in and coordinated with the customer to ensure minimal disruption to their operations. The old, worn and rusted hook vehicle restraints were carefully removed while all hoses were disconnected and capped. Next, the removed restraints were transported off-site by our team for proper disposal.
Installing New Hook Trailer Restraints
Our technicians were able to retain and modify the existing support plates to accommodate the new Blue Giant restraints. The new Electric Hook Trailer Restraints (HVR303) were installed at the designated positions by our installation team. At the end, they spray painted the existing support plates to protect it from corrosion and to match the black finish of their new vehicle restraints.
Next, our electrical team ran conduit and wires from the new restraints to the new Blue Genius Gold Series II Control Panels. ensuring a seamless integration with the 110V single-phase power supply. These control panels were interlocked with a relay to the existing dock panels for safe operations. Finally, they connected everything to the new red/green traffic lights on the outside.
Testing and Adjustment
After completing the installation and testing, we demonstrated the functionality of the new restraints to the customer, ensuring they were satisfied with the results. The customer appreciated our thoroughness and attention to detail, and the job was signed off as complete.
Benefits of the Blue Giant Electric Hook Trailer Restraint (HVR303)
- Enhanced Safety: The truck locks provide superior safety by securely holding trailers in place during loading and unloading operations. Reducing the risk of accidents.
- Instant Compensation Float: With a vertical restraining range and instant float, the HVR303 can service a wide variety of trailers, including those with bent or damaged ICC bars.
- High Restraining Force: The HVR303 provides a restraining force of 32,000 lb (14,545 kg), preventing the dangers associated with unexpected trailer movement.
- Durability: The heavy-duty motor and zinc plating prevents rusting or corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance.
- Submersible: The IP67-rated motor is submersible up to 3.3′ (1m) to prevent it from getting damaged in extreme weather conditions.
- Eco-Friendly: The HVR303 is an environmentally sustainable alternative to hydraulic systems, reducing the carbon footprint of your operations
