Project Overview
Hubberts Industries in Brampton installed a new weighing scale and trucks were having a difficult time backing up into the right side of the building to access it. A potential accident was waiting to happen as trucks had to back in at an angle to access the scale in a tight space.
To improve safety, we increased their existing 20′ wide opening by 9′ for a total of 29′. This larger opening allows for trucks to back up directly onto the scale. We then installed an insulated extra large steel sectional overhead door.
As a result, operation efficiencies have increased and the risk of accidents has decreased as large tanker trucks do not need to back in on an angle in a tight space to get their truck on the scale.
