Project Overview
Old and Rusted Loading Dock
The property manager of a warehouse in Etobicoke had an exterior dock that was rusted underneath. The unit was being renovated for a new lease agreement, so they were looking to remove the old dock and replace it with a new dock leveler.
New Exterior Hydraulic Dock Leveler
They contacted Northern Dock Systems to remove and replace their loading dock. After removing the dock and cleaning out the pit, our technicians installed a new Blue Giant 6’x10’ Hydraulic Dock Leveler (Workhorse).
Rust-Restraint Loading Dock
The new exterior loading dock is powder-coated in rust-resistant black and has rubber dock weather seals along the sides to withstand harsh Canadian weather. In addition, we have arranged annual preventive maintenance inspections with the property manager to keep the dock running at peak performance for years to come, even though it is exposed to the elements.
Heavy-Duty Dock for 3 or 4 Wheel Forklifts
Furthermore, the heavy-duty dock will be long-lasting for the upcoming tenants and even future tenants. Additionally, the dock is suitable for either 3 or 4-wheel forklifts with only 6” of space between the J-beams.
Flex Rear Hinge and Easy Operation
The fixed rear hinge design allows the deck to flex up to 4″ when under load to ensure full-width contact between the lip and the truck bed. Finally, the dock is easy to operate for any tenant with just a push of a button on the NEMA4X (moisture and corrosion-resistant) control station.
Looks beautiful and upgrades the value of the property.
