Project Overview
The old dock at an automotive parts manufacturer in Markham had reached the end of its lifespan and needed to be replaced.
Improve Safety with Trailer Restraints
Furthermore, this customer wanted to improve loading dock safety with an integrated trailer restraint. At the moment there were only using wheel chocks to restrain vehicles. This meant that they had to trust that drivers would properly chock their truck or have an attendant outside to check the position. With a new integrated electric hook trailer restraint, forklift drivers can be made aware when the restraint is engaged and it is safe to proceed with red and green lights.
Red and Green Communication Lights
Similarly, there are red and green communication lights outside to notify truck drivers when the trailer restraint is disengaged and it’s safe to pull away from the position.
Hydraulic Dock Leveler
The new hydraulic dock leveler has easy operation as both the trailer restraint and dock leveler can be operated with a push of a button on the same control panel. Additionally, this control panel is NEMA4X-rated and corrosion-resistant.
Furthermore, the rust-resistant powder coat will ensure a long-lasting finish that can withstand Canadian weather. While the J-beams are welded at dynamic points to prevent warping and extend the lifetime of the dock leveler.
This hydraulic dock is designed to be low maintenance, easy to operate, improve safety and long-lasting.
