Maintain a consistent temperature inside the showroom and stop loosing energy out the front door with a Microshield.
Company: OFGO Furniture
Province: Ontario
THE CHALLENGE
The front doors at this furniture showroom experience constant foot traffic throughout the day. With the doors always opening, drafts are carried into the store creating an uncomfortable environment for the customers. With the doors constantly opening, OFGO is also loosing valuable heat in the winter, and air conditioning in summer months.
THE SOLUTION
Northern Dock Systems installed a 72″ Microshield Air Barrier over the entranceway to create a seal between the exterior and interior – without obstructing movement into the building.
With a 90% seal across the doorway, OFGO is now able to control a consistent temperature inside the showroom without loosing energy out the front door. By being proactive and reducing their annual energy consumption, we were able to find them an energy rebate of $400 for their project.
