Project Overview
This large 16’6″ wide x 19’6″ tall opening at their manufacturing plant in Kitchener, would be left open for extended periods of time during offloading. Meanwhile, when this bay is opened, large volumes of cold air enter their manufacturing plant. As a result, employees working in the area were extremely cold during the cold winter months.
An air curtain was the perfect solution for this drive-through door. The client did not require the top 3′ of this opening, so we mounted the unit at 16’6″ from grade and adjusted the door limits to suit. The air curtain was installed by a steel span just below the barrel. As a result, it was a nice clean installation.
This extreme air curtain provides upsized power to prevent cold air from entering the facility for doors up to 26′ tall.
