Project Overview
The existing lift, which was over 20 years old, was nearing the end of its life span. Thus the client was having more frequent operational issues. In addition, the framing of the existing lift was compromised. As a result, the lift table deck was no longer level with the surrounding floor.
Furthermore, the 36″ steel lip did not have dampers or a spring assist, so it was very heavy and difficult to operate for store staff.

By upgrading and replacing the scissor lift that was original to the building with a new Nordock Dock-Lift (DL) Series Scissor Lift, the store is well-positioned to ensure reliable and efficient receiving operations long into the future.
Furthermore, we added a deck-mounted control station to the lift to make it easier and more convenient to operate. Also, by adding aluminum split lips, staff can lower onto the truck with less stress and force as was previously required.
