THE CHALLENGE
Shred-it specializes in providing a tailored document destruction service that allows businesses to comply with legislation and ensure that the client, employee and confidential business information is kept secure at all times.
Shred-It was looking for a way to improve air flow and employee working conditions in their destruction area, where employees operate heavy equipment. Typically a Roll-Up Bug Screen Door would be utilized in this scenario – however, with security being a critical part of this business, a more robust solution was requested.
OUR SOLUTION
After careful consideration and a detailed site evaluation, Northern Dock Systems proposed a Secondary Sectional Stainless Steel Bug Door. Working in concert with the existing 14’ wide x 16’ high Overhead Sectional Door at this opening, the manually operated Stainless Steel Bug Door would allow fresh air into the facility, without any sacrifice in security. Each door works independently of the other, allowing the client total flexibility.
THE RESULT
The installation of this project was a success and the client is excited to realized the benefits of this solution in 2017. Shred-It has subsequently installed the same product in another one of their locations in London, ON.
