Project Overview
Superior Radiant Products in Stoney Creek had worn out dock seals at two of their positions. The old docks were ripped, torn and missing chunks of foam so cold drafts were coming in through their open doors last winter.
They reached out to Northern Dock Systems just in time to remove and replace their old foam dock seals. We supplied and installed two (2) 101 stationary foam dock seals before the start of the winter season. As a result, their staff can keep warm and safe while loading and unloading across the dock plate during the upcoming winter months.
Old Dock Seals Being Removed
Additionally, we were able to work with their local utility company to get a one-time energy rebate that covered 82% of the project costs. Furthermore, after 12 months with these new dock seals, they can expect an estimated $948 in yearly energy savings. As a result, they can expect accelerated ROI in 0.86 years.
The stationary dock seal is an economical solution to create an airtight seal between the building and the trailer. This dock seal blocks harsh weather, snow, insects, pests, dust and white light while saving money on energy costs. With their new dock seals, Superior Radiant Products will save on energy for years. In addition to creating a comfortable temperature inside and a safe working environment for their staff.
