Project Overview
Northern Dock Systems’ Construction Department was awarded this construction project to supply and install (9) doors and (1) hydraulic dock leveler for this new factory and office in Dundas.
One of our project managers worked with the architect (Mackay Mackay & Peters Ltd.) and general contractor (Hallmark Design Build) on many project details to help with the design and specifications for Superior Vault’s new factory and office.
For this project, we installed:
- (7) 16’0 x 14’0 Steel Sectional Overhead Doors with chain hoist
- (1) 20’0 x 16’0 Steel Sectional Overhead Doors with chain hoist
- (1) 10’0 x 10’0 Steel Sectional Overhead Doors with chain hoist
- (1) Hydraulic Dock Leveler
- (1) Set of Steel Face Dock Bumpers
The overhead sectional doors are injected with high-pressure polyurethane for energy-efficient R-16 insulation. Moreover, the 26/26-gauge G60 hot-dipped galvanized steel has five coats of a corrosion-resistant protective finish.
Additionally, the hydraulic dock leveler can be easily operated with a push of a button. Also, hydraulic dock levelers have no springs, hold-down mechanisms or other highly wearable parts, which means less maintenance and fewer moving parts to break down.
