Project Overview
Northern Dock Systems provided full construction services to the busy Stone Road Mall in Guelph for three new overhead doors.
For this construction project, the doors were originally specified as Steel Insulated Sectional Doors. Post tender, our Construction Team working jointly with WZMH Architects to provide them with polycarbonate doors. Key benefits to these doors are:
- The lightweight design makes for easy operation and causes less stress on the hardware for longevity.
- The translucent panels let light in and create a more comfortable and inviting work environment.
- Also, these panels create a solar heat gain effect to reduce heating costs in the winter.
- The triple-walled panels are strong enough to withstand extreme weather such as sun, wind, rain and snow without cracking.
Northern Dock Systems completed this project on time and on budget, with the customer being satisfied with the change of doors.
