Project Overview

This busy Whitby warehouse needed a new position to meet the demand. They contacted us to supply and installation of all their new loading dock and door equipment.

First off, we cut an 8’x10’ opening with lintel and steel jambs to support the new Insulated Rolling Steel Door. This insulated rolling steel door is the ideal option for areas that require climate control, security and durability. With a 50,000-cycle warranty, they can expect years of trouble-free operation.

New Hydraulic Dock and Rotating Hook Vehicle Restraint

Next, we added a Blue Giant In Pit Hydraulic Dock Leveler. Hydraulic dock levelers are easy to operate with just a push of a button. They are low maintenance and dependable. In addition, we interlocked the dock with a Blue Giant Rotating Hook Trailer Restraint (HVR303) dependably secure trailers during the loading and unloading process.

Furthermore, the dock leveler and vehicle restraint are powder-coated to prevent rust and protect them from harsh Canadian weather.

Energy Savings and Protection with Dock Seals and Dock Bumpers

To seal in the position, an Adjustable Head Curtain Dock Seal (200) was installed around the new door opening. This dock seal will seal around trailers to prevent contaminants from coming in when the door is open. In addition to saving on energy.

Finally, the position and all the new equipment were protected with Dock Bumpers. Dock bumpers will protect the dock levelers and truck locks from getting accidentally hit along with protecting the dock seals from getting over-compressed.
